bulletTai Chi

The Tai Chi beginners class is an excellent introduction for beginners and new students. The basic exercises can be learnt quickly, practised anywhere and offer many of the health and relaxation benefits of Tai Chi straight away.

Most martial arts involve practicing a set of movements or techniques linked together in a set series, usually known as a form or kata (Japanese). Tai Chi Ch’uan is no different in this respect. What is different, however, is that in Tai Chi the forms are generally (though not always) practiced slowly. In this way, the practitioner is able to develop control, relaxation, co-ordination, and balance. Practicing slowly also helps control and regulates the breathing.

bulletSelf Defense

This session focuses on the self-defense aspect of the Tai Chi movements with all the benefits of the art plus the added confidence of understanding how to defend yourself.
